The AI Agents panel detects agentic coding CLIs already installed on your PATH - Claude Code, Codex CLI, Gemini CLI, and Aider - and launches any installed one in a dedicated embedded terminal tab, pre-set to a project folder you choose. Sessions persist across sidebar navigation the same way the main terminal does, so switching panels won't kill your agent session.

If an agent isn't installed yet, CmdVault shows a copyable install command and a docs link instead of a launch button, so you're never stuck guessing why nothing happened.
